Bulfinch Wins 2014 MA ECO Award For Promotion of Alternative Transportation Methods
NEEDHAM, MASS.- April 3, 2014 - The Bulfinch Companies, Inc., a private commercial real estate investment firm, today announced that they have won a 2014 Pacesetter Level Award at the 2014 Massachusetts Excellence in Commuter Options (ECO) Awards recently held at The EMC Club at Fenway Park.
On March 26th, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) hosted the fourth annual ECO Awards in collaboration with MassRIDES, the statewide travel options program, and MassCommute, the Massachusetts Coalition of Transportation Management Associations. More than 150 Massachusetts businesses arrived at the iconic Fenway Park to celebrate the exemplary contributions the award winners have made within the last year to encourage and promote sustainable transportation options that help reduce traffic congestion, promote healthy lifestyles, and benefit the environment.
The Pacesetter Level Award, which Bulfinch was proudly honored with, recognizes the company’s dedication to encouraging alternative transportation modes by offering shuttle service to local MBTA stations, emergency ride home programs, bike-sharing programs, electric car charging stations, zipcars, and educational commuter events. Bulfinch also has a strong partnership with the Route 128 Business Council who provides many of these sustainable solutions implemented throughout the Bulfinch portfolio, as well as excellent tools and resources for employees.
