Bulfinch’s Pamela Yang Named Globe St. Women of Influence of 2022

BOSTON, MA – July 27, 2022

The Bulfinch Companies, Inc. (Bulfinch), a private real estate investment, development and management firm, announces its Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer, Pamela Yang, was named to Globe St. Women of Influence Award list of 2022 in the Corporate Executive Category.

The Globe St. Women of Influence award selection process examines a stringent set of criteria, identifying candidates based on career achievements, community outreach and mentorship within the industry. The candidates come from diverse backgrounds with a wide array of specialties and have all made a distinctive mark in commercial real estate. Yang was honored at the GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s third annual GlobeSt. Women of Influence Awards dinner, which was held in Park City, UT on July 26, 2022, and is currently featured in a spotlight in the GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum July/August issue

“I am honored to be named a Globe St. Women of Influence,” said Yang. “I am proud to be a part of such an excellent and driven group of women that are not only changing their industry but also paving the way for young women.”

As Bulfinch’s first-ever COO, Yang guides and leads daily operations for the firm, including assisting with strategic planning, providing oversight of the Boston office, and working closely with the Financial Reporting Team and Bulfinch leadership. In addition, Pamela plays a key role in leading the development and implementation of the firm’s culture and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. This new, yet critical role of COO is consistent with Bulfinch’s ‘Drive to 2025’ strategic plan of portfolio and team growth to ensure continued success and expansion for the company in 2022 and beyond.

Yang is a member of several Internal committees that collaborate across departments to advance the firm’s mission including the Investment, Asset Management, Valuation, Technology and Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Committees. She has been pivotal in providing strategic guidance on Bulfinch’s portfolio and property management efforts during the pandemic, and also reimagining the future of real estate and property management in a post-pandemic world. Pamela’s leadership and commitment also drove the team growth by 27%, and her focus on DE+I grew Bulfinch’s senior leadership team from 0% women and minority in 2019 to 45% in 2022.

“Pamela Yang has been an invaluable addition to Bulfinch’s team and Senior Leadership,” said Eric D. Schlager, Chief Executive Officer of Bulfinch. “Pamela’s drive and dedication to everything she does is what makes her a great COO, Managing Director, team member and leader.”

In addition to leading daily operations for the firm, Yang is deeply committed to philanthropic efforts, both professionally and personally. She is a former Chair of the Board of CFA Society Boston, an active volunteer at the CFA Institute, and a member of The Boston Economic Club. She serves as the Diversity Task Force Co-Chair for the Planned Giving Group of New England and also serves on the Board of the Boston Ballet.
