Bulfinch discovered the opportunity to acquire Acorn Park, one of the first post-war suburban office parks in Cambridge in a core market and transform the outdated park, scattered with open parking lots, into a state-of-the-art life science campus. Bulfinch’s vision capitalized on the irreplaceable location to supply the constrained Cambridge market with 27-acres of lush green space easily accessible by foot or a short five-minute shuttle ride from the Alewife MBTA Red Line Station, minutes from Boston, Logan Airport and Route 128.

Deliver

Bulfinch revitalized the property into a lab, research & development and office campus in Cambridge with 400,000 square feet in three buildings including the restoration and preservation of neighboring wetlands and wooded areas. The development incorporated significant amenities including a 150-room AC Hotel with conference center, restaurant, bar, and a 650-car parking garage. The 286,000 SF lab and office building accompanied by a new 380-car garage was delivered in Q1 2020.
