A great building is more than its finishes or floor plans. It’s the people who bring it to life. At Bulfinch, our in-house property management teams are part of each property’s daily experience, creating meaningful opportunities for tenants to connect, build relationships, and feel a true sense of community. That hands-on approach comes to life through thoughtfully curated events, everyday interactions, and shared experiences that transform workplaces into communities.
This summer, that idea has come to life across the portfolio, from ice cream socials to sourdough workshops to hands-on volunteer opportunities that give back to the local community.
Here’s a look at what’s been happening.

Osborn Triangle, Cambridge
Summer arrived at Osborn Triangle with scoops, seedlings, and a little bit of purpose. On June 24th, the courtyard filled up for a Tenant Ice Cream Social, with Dylan & Pete’s serving up treats. Alongside them, Green City Growers ran an herb potting station, so tenants could get their hands dirty and walk away with a little greenery of their own.
The afternoon also featured a community impact initiative with Building Impact, where tenants assembled Engineering Exploration Kits for local students. Each kit included hands-on STEM activities, math games, notebooks, and books designed to help underrepresented students explore science and engineering beyond the classroom. It was a meaningful reminder that even simple tenant events can create a lasting impact beyond the workplace.
The fun isn’t over, either. The Osborn Annual Summer Bingo tournament is underway now, with tenants working toward bingo by taking part in on-site amenities and activities, from workout classes to the gardening program to following Osborn Triangle on Instagram.
As Cayla Franco, VP of Property Management, explains: “You can feel the difference on a day when there’s an event happening. People linger a little longer, they introduce themselves to a neighbor from another company, they stick around for a second scoop. That’s the whole point.”
That same spirit of connection extended beyond Cambridge to Needham.
117 Kendrick Street, Needham
The good times, and the good ice cream, traveled to Needham on June 17th, when 117 Kendrick Street hosted its own Ice Cream Social, once again featuring the crowd favorite, Dylan & Pete’s Ice Cream. Building Impact returned as well with a STEM kit volunteering event, giving tenants the chance to assemble learning kits for students in need, a fun and easy way to pair community spirit with giving back.
Cambridge Discovery Park, Cambridge
Few properties have been busier this season than Cambridge Discovery Park, where tenants have had a standing invitation to gather and learn all summer long.
On May 27th, an expert chef from Third Space Kitchen, a Newton-based culinary studio, led a Sourdough Starter Workshop, guiding attendees through the sourdough-making process from starter to loaf while sharing practical tips along the way.
On June 23rd, Green City Growers hosted an Herb Potting Class at the Cafe at 20 Acorn Park Drive, where tenants planted their own herb seedlings, picked up care tips, and grabbed recipes to bring the herbs to the table. Tenants also learned more about the property’s weekly garden program, run by an onsite urban farmer from Green City Growers.
The season continued on June 25th with the Annual Tenant Summer BBQ, hosted right in the Cafe and bringing tenants together for good food and good company.
Chapel Bridge Park, Newton
The celebrations continue at Chapel Bridge Park, where the Annual Ice Cream Social is set for July and will continue the tradition of bringing tenants together for a summer afternoon of connection and community.
Community Is the Foundation
Whether it’s sharing a meal, learning a new skill, or volunteering alongside colleagues, these moments create connections that extend well beyond the workday.
At Bulfinch, building community isn’t an extra amenity, it’s a core part of how we create exceptional workplace environments. By investing in thoughtful programming and meaningful tenant experiences, we’re helping every property become more than a place to work. It’s a place where people genuinely want to be.
In today’s hybrid work environment, those connections matter more than ever. Creating spaces where people feel welcomed, engaged, and connected is an investment in both the tenant experience and the long-term success of every property.
